On-Board Instructions

In many cases, owners are moving up to a larger boat and are not  comfortable with operating her nor do they have previous knowledge with the controls or electronics associated with  this larger vessel.

Maritime Vessel Surveying, Inc.  does not offer standard boating safety courses or on-board training for the novice boater.  This service is primarily to provide personalized instructions on-board your newly purchased vessel to help familiarize you with the handling, operation of equipment, etc.

Captain Konz is a licensed Marine Captain, instructor, with 15 years of certificated experience.

This service is designed to help boat owners learn the basics of operations of their new boat as the classroom.  It is mostly offered to clients of Maritime Vessel Surveying, Inc. who have had a pre-purchase survey performed on their boat however if you are interested in this service, please contact us.

Statement on fees, something like "Fees for this service are dependent on the location of the vessel and the number of hours desired by the owner(s).  

WHAT DO YOU HAVE SIMILAR?

  • U.S. Coast Guard Master's License Near Coastal [Out to 200 Miles Offshore])
  • FCC Commercial Marine Radio Operator's License for the operation of radios on vessels required by FCC regulations to be radio-equipped
  • FCC Aircraft, Ship's Station License authorizing me to operate marine radios and radar on a vessel
  • Over 15  years experience as instructor and qualification examiner in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary in operations and instruction, with specialized training in instruction, patrol, communications, coastal navigation, search and rescue work
  • successfully completed the U.S. Coast Guard Institute Course, “PILOTING”
  • QUALIFIED by the Coast Guard to operate Coast Guard Auxiliary vessels under government orders.
  • Experience operating  SAIL AND MOTOR single and twin-screw powerboats up to 76 feet.
