OWNER RESPONSIBILITY;
If your vessel has been involved in an accident
or sinking, take measures to secure and protect the vessel.
The vessel remains the property of the registered
owner, regardless of the location.
In the event of a sinking and depending where
the vessel is, hazard to navigation, the USCG may request that
the vessel be removed at the expense of the owner.
The USCG requires an accident report when the
damages are in excess of $200.00, where there is a death or serious injury that requires more
then first aid.
